This art group has been established for more than 20 years. Anyone from 8 80+ years will be made very welcome. We meet every Thursday afternoon, from 2:00 3:30pm in Ideford Village Hall. No experience is needed; we welcome beginners and more established artists. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and you are encouraged to develop your individual style and skills. I hope to introduce different methods and media to widen your scope of experience. An exhibition is held once a year and is very well attended.
Although I provide some basic materials, it would be helpful if you could have a good quality sketch book with a range of pencils, a watercolour/acrylic pad with a small collection of watercolour/ acrylic paints. These can be built up as you go on.
During the summer months we go around the parish with our sketch book, often spending time in some of our most beautiful and inspiring gardens very relaxing!
Everyone is encouraged to develop, have fun and share experiences, why not come along and give it a try? For more details, please give me, Angie, a ring on 01626854898 or e-mail at email@example.com
Look forward to seeing you
In the average tower, you will find a very wide cross-section of old and young, professionals and tradespeople, churchgoers and non-churchgoers, men and women.
In these days of spectator sports, it is good to find a single activity that offers a well-balanced mix of physical exercise and mental challenge plus the informal social contact of the weekly practice night.
If there are enough of us to ring, we normally practice at St Mary the Virgin Church, Ideford on a Thursday evening from 7.30pm until 9.00pm.
We are always looking for more people to join us so if you would like to have a go and learn more about what is involved do come along, we'd love to see you.
Please contact David Aylmore (01626 852259) or Martin Sampson (01626 853391) for more information.
